2 Reasons To Replace Your Water Heater With A Tankless Option

A tankless water heater option can often be one of the best additions that you can make to your home, especially if you and your family tend to go through a lot of hot water in a typical day. Listed below are two reasons to replace your current water heater with a tankless option.

Provides Hot Water As Needed

One of the biggest advantages to having a tankless water heater in your home is that it will provide you with hot water as needed. Instead of filling a larger 40+ gallon tank with hot water, the tankless water heater will rapidly heat water only when a hot water faucet is turned on somewhere in the house and then shut off when the faucet is turned off. As a result, a tankless hot water heater will actually end up using less water and fuel throughout the day than a traditional water heater, which is both good for the environment and your finances.

Another benefit of a tankless water heater is that it will continue to provide hot water for as long as the hot water faucet is turned on, which is a big advantage over traditional water heater that can run out of hot water in the middle of a shower or bath and force you to wait a while for the hot water to be replenished. With a tankless water heater, it is very unlikely that you will run out of hot water simply because you were the last one to bathe that night or because someone else in the house has decided to do laundry or shower while you are bathing.

Requires Very Little Space

One of the issues that you can run into when installing a traditional water heater is finding somewhere in your house with enough space to accommodate the large water tank. As a result, your placement options can become very limited. However, due to the lack of a water tank on a tankless water heater, you can often simply mount the unit directly on the wall in the basement, in the utility closet, or even in the bathroom.

Contact a plumber or contractor, such as those found at Towers Murray Plumbing, today to discuss the merits of installing a tankless water heater and the advantages that it can provide versus a traditional water heater. A tankless water heater is a fantastic alternative to traditional water heater since it provides hot water as needed and requires very little space to be installed.
